Cognitive-behavioural Psychotherapy (CBP) aims to solve problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, behaviours, and cognitions through goal-oriented, non-medicated systematic procedures. CBT is effective for the treatment of a variety of problems including mood, anxiety, personality, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and psychotic disorders. Therapy is sometimes manualized, with specific technique-driven brief, direct, and time-limited treatment along with counselling & is used in individual/couple/group therapy.
