Dr. Prasad Shah is actively involved in the management of patients with arrhythmias, syncope, Device implantation, management and trouble shoot complications in patients with implanted devices (both pacemakers, Defibrillators and CRT). In the catheterization lab he is well versed in ablations of both supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. Dr. Shah is also trained in the ablation of arrhythmias using the CARTO system.
Dr. Shah performs angiograms and angioplasties of Native coronary arteries and saphenous venous grafts from the Femoral and upper limb approach (Radial and Brachial). Also trained in all the facets of Angioplasty using Balloons, Stents, cutting Balloon, Intracoronary pressure wires, Rotablation, coronary filter wires, use of Brachytherapy for management of restenosis, use of Intra aortic Balloon pumps. Use of coronary Imaging with Intravascular Ultrasound and OCT and in the use of closure devices such as Angioseal and Perclose suture device.
An expert in Performing Balloon Mitral Valvotomy (BMV) and Device closures for ASD, PDA and VSD. Along with training in the performance of Alcohol Septal ablation in the management of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
