Nursing is a profession within the Health Care Sector focused on the care of individuals,
families and communities so they may attain maintain or recover optimal health and quality
of life.
The basic Diploma course in General Nursing & Midwifery is geared to the health needs of the
individual family, community and the country at large. The aims of the Diploma in General
Nursing and Midwifery programme are -
To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with competencies for first-level positions in all kinds of healthcare settings.
To help nurses develop an ability to co-operate and coordinate with members of the health and rehabilitation of the sick.
To help nurses in their personal and professional development, so that they are able to make a maximum contribution to society as useful and productive individuals, citizens, as well as efficient nurses.
To serve as a base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.
To prepare nurses to keep pace with the latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care services.
The Basic B.Sc. Nursing is with the objective of imparting high quality education to students,
so that they have in-depth practical knowledge and develop skills. The College is
internationally recognized as a centre of excellence for education and research. The mission
of the College is to take Noble Institute of Medical Sciences, College of Nursing, Pune to
newer heights! The College will set a goal for itself to excel in nursing care in the field

With intake 60 capacities
MSBNPE (Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education)
Diploma with 3 Years duration
MNC (Maharashtra Nursing Council) certificate after course completion.
Minimum Education Eligibility Criteria for Admission for GNM:
10+2 i.e. 12th with 40% of marks from any stream like Arts, Commerce, or Science.
Registered ANM with pass mark is allowed.
5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
Scholarship is available for all category students.
Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year).

Minimum Education Eligibility Criteria for Admission for Basic B.Sc. Nursing
Academic Qualification: Completion of 10+2 with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English as one of the subjects.
Minimum Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PWD).
MH B.Sc. Nursing CET: MH B.Sc. Nursing CET is Mandatory, Reservation category 40 percentile & open category 50 percentile.
NEET UG: Candidates need to appear for and qualify the NEET UG entrance examination.
NEET Counselling: Admission is based on the score obtained in NEET UG followed by NEET Counselling.
Age: Before 31st Dec. of the year of admission in the 1st year Minimum 17 Years.
